MY FAVORITE..................
GUARDIAN PROTECTORS of the FREE ENTERPRISE SYSTEM
by Jerry Stokes
America
owes a debt of gratitude to over one million
entrepreneurs
that go to work in the early morning hours before
daylight and travel
several miles to setup as vendors.
They go out early to be first at yard sales, estate
sales, and buy stuff
to sell at flea markets. They setup at a flea market
and (sometime) sit
all day and not sell anything. Work on their records
and inventory when
they get home. Yet, they always greet you with smiles,
good manners,
and good deals. No where else can you get sales
service that good.
Some may think that is not hard work, but just try it
one time and in most
cases, it will be your last time. Not to mention the
average earnings
are less than minimum wages.
Why? Because they love what they do and they do not
have to answer
to anyone.
They are men, women and children of all ages and every
nationality that
serve the public like no salesperson of any retail
outlet. They will listen
to your stories and tell you theirs whether you buy
anything or not.
Some make a decent living, some break even or lose money
while a few
do well and go on to establish a regular business store
front.
The do all this and more because they love what they do,
not because
someone pays them to do it.
They, the vendors, are the protectors of the American
Free Enterprise
System, the envy of the world, and the unsung hero of
Shopping Lovers.
God Bless Them All.
